Westgate's Hair Has Gone CrAzY!
Westgate Elementary recently celebrated a very popular spirit day - Crazy Hair Day! Elastic bands, bobby pins, and styling gel helped students twist, spike, and mold their hair into fun and creative shapes. Mohawks were a favorite amongst the boys and having numerous ponytails were a hit with the girls. Overall, the most popular look was to use various hairspray colors to create patterns or designs in their hair.
There were a few wigs and lots of glitter, but the most unusual hair styles were the ones with odd things in them. One student had balloons in her hair, another had lollipops, and a ruler was used to make one girl's hair stand straight up! One second grader even had a bizarre pipe cleaner, pom pom, and googly eye creation in her hair. Yes, things have gone VERY crazy at Westgate!
