Louisville LB Trevon Young in hospital with injured left hip
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Louisville linebacker Trevon Young spent Wednesday night in a Tennessee hospital after being carted off the field at the Music City Bowl with an injured left hip.
Young was hurt on Texas A&M's second drive of the game, chasing a play when he appeared to step awkwardly. He was placed on his right side on the back of the cart but was able to wave at fans before being taken into the tunnel and to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
Louisville won the game 27-21, and Cardinals media relations director Rocco Gasparro said Young was spending the night at the hospital for observation of a "serious hip injury."
