Volunteers are critical to success of parks

April 21-27 marks National Volunteer Week, a time dedicated to acknowledging the profound impact volunteers have in communities across our nation. As we celebrate this week, on behalf of the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners and our park staff, I wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the members of our community who generously contribute their time and efforts to enhance our parks and recreation programs.

The Naperville Park District relies heavily on the unwavering support of our vibrant and dedicated volunteer network. Our volunteers support a diverse range of activities, from lending a helping hand at special events to maintaining our green spaces, from coaching youth sports teams to participating in citizen committees and senior programs.

To each and every one of our volunteers who selflessly invest their time and talent in the betterment of our community through the Naperville Park District, we express our sincere thanks and appreciation. Your commitment not only enriches the lives of our residents but also contributes to making Naperville one of the best communities in America.

Mary Gibson, President

Naperville Park District Board
