Radwanska to face Pliskova in Tianjin Open semifinals

TIANJIN, China (AP) - Agnieszka Radwanska will take on Karolina Pliskova in the semifinals of the Tianjin Open in a match-up between players trying to wrap up spots in the WTA Finals in Singapore.
The second-seeded Radwanska rallied from a 5-3 deficit in the opening set against Elizaveta Kulichkova of Russia on Friday to win 7-6 (3), 6-2.
The third-seeded Pliskova had 11 aces in a 6-3, 6-2 win over Hungary's Timea Babos.
Radwanska can qualify for Singapore if she wins the Tianjin title. Pliskova is further back, four spots out of the final place in the tournament.
Saturday's other semifinal will pit Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia against Danka Kovinic of Montenegro.
