Ukraine and revolution

I can’t help but see a comparison between the American Revolution and the fight for freedom and democracy in Ukraine.

The British Empire felt they “owned” the American colonies, much like Russia feels they “own” Ukraine. A smaller, determined country is fighting for their independence and way of life against a huge system that wants total control. Sound familiar?

Shouldn’t we do whatever we can to support a country that acts so much like our own did over two hundred years ago?
