Rolling Meadows marks 60th anniversary at tree-lighting ceremony

The city of Rolling Meadows held its tree-lighting ceremony Thursday evening, with Santa's arrival, a fireworks show, and a free spaghetti dinner as part of its 60th anniversary celebration of incorporation.

The event, with seasonal treats and giveaways, was held at 6 p.m. at the McDonald's at 3140 Kirchoff Road. The spaghetti dinner was held at the downtown fire station at 3111 Meadow Drive.
