Rockford woman charged after ramming squad car twice

ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) - A Rockford Police Department squad car had to be towed away after a woman rammed it twice with her car.

Police charged 21-year-old Julia Jensen of Rockford with domestic battery, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance and leaving the scene of a crash following the incident late Tuesday at a gas station.

The Rockford Register Star reports (http://bit.ly/1zOUi23 ) a man had called police saying his girlfriend was intoxicated and struck him in the head while she was driving.

When the officer arrived, the woman's Toyota Camry sedan struck a parked car, then rammed the front of the squad car, backed up, then rammed it a second time. The driver then parked the Camry.

The officer wasn't injured.

Online court records don't indicate whether Jensen has an attorney.
