Great American Conference honors football players of week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The Great American Conference is honoring football players from Southern Arkansas, Harding, Southwestern Oklahoma and Ouachita.

SAU's Barrett Renner is the offensive player of the week. He threw for three touchdowns and more than 300 yards as the Muleriders beat East Central. The freshman became the first NCAA Division II quarterback to reach 3,000 yards in a season since 2012.

Trevon Biglow of Harding and Trevon Hartfield of Southwestern Oklahoma shared defensive honors. Biglow had 3ˆ½ sacks and forced a turnover against Northwestern Oklahoma. Hartfield had a career-high 10 tackles and had two interceptions in a win at Arkansas Tech.

Cole Antley of Ouachita is the special teams player of the week. He had a 40-yard field goal and seven extra points in a victory over Southern Nazarene.
