Maserati stolen outside Des Plaines casino

A masked thief stole a white Maserati Ghibli outside Rivers Casino in Des Plaines earlier this week, police said in a news release.

The car was stolen Sunday night in one of the casino’s parking lots, police said.

The thief and an accomplice drove up to the valuable sedan in a white Nissan Altima, according to the release. The thief broke the Maserati’s sunroof, climbed in and drove off in the car, police said.

The Maserati was last reported to be in Chicago.

No other details were available.
