Portion of Algonquin Road closed in Des Plaines

A portion of Algonquin Road on the east side of Des Plaines is closed through Sept. 22 due to bridge painting under the Tri-State Tollway.

The closure of Algonquin Road, from River Road to Oakton Street, has been in effect since Monday, city officials said.

Officials say a complete road closure is required for the duration of the project. Detour signs are posted.
