St. Louis man charged in deadly Illinois strip club shooting
BROOKLYN, Ill. (AP) - A 25-year-old St. Louis man is charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting outside a southwestern Illinois strip club.
The Belleville News-Democrat (bit.ly/1YsizOa ) reports that Illinois State Police arrested Tony Hampton on Saturday.
The arrest came six days after 29-year-old Salahudin Malik Robbins of Berkeley, Missouri died in a 3 a.m. shooting outside the Bottoms Up topless club.
At least three others were wounded in the shooting. Police and prosecutors have not disclosed a potential motive.
Hampton is also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a previously convicted felon.
Bail in the case was set at $1 million. Online court records don't list an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
