Dortmund injuries pile up: Grosskreutz, Kehl the latest hit

DORTMUND, Germany (AP) - Borussia Dortmund midfielders Kevin Grosskreutz and Sebastian Kehl were injured in a friendly against Steaua Bucharest on Saturday, adding to the struggling Bundesliga team's problems.

Dortmund says an examination Sunday revealed Grosskreutz suffered a small ligament tear in his ankle and needs to rest for a week.

The extent of Kehl's shoulder injury, sustained in a collision with teammate Mats Hummels, will not be fully determined before Monday.

Dortmund's 1-0 win over Bucharest marked the end of the side's training camp in La Manga, Spain.

Nuri Sahin, Oliver Kirch, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Lukasz Piszczek, Sven Bender, Erik Durm and Adrian Ramos all missed the game through injuries.

Dortmund is second last in the Bundesliga and faces Bayer Leverkusen away on Jan. 31 in its first league game after the winter break.
