Georgia State downs Texas State 41-19

SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Nick Arbuckle threw for a school-record and career-high 471 yards and a career-high-tying four TDs to lead Georgia State to a 41-19 win over Texas State on Saturday.

Georgia State gained a school-record 643 yards of total offense to 453 for the Bobcats.

Arbuckle was 23-of-34 passing with two interceptions and threw for 337 yards in the first half alone for the Panthers (3-6, 2-3 Sun Belt), including scoring passes of 34 yards to Robert Davis and 8 and 4 yards to Donovan Harden.

Leading 31-12 at halftime, Arbuckle hit Penny Hart with a 17-yard scoring pass in the third quarter. Hart had six receptions for 113 yards and Davis five for 177.

Tyler Jones was 29-of-51 for 267 yards passing and two interceptions for the Bobcats (2-7, 1-4). He had a 2-yard TD pass to Robert Lowe in the fourth and Lowe also scored on a 4-yard run.
