Overpass repairs to close Route 31 in Geneva

Drivers taking Route 31 through Geneva next week will be detoured, as a railroad overpass will be closed for repairs.

The overpass will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Sept. 25, the city announced.

Drivers will be directed to instead use Third and Fulton streets to get around the shutdown.

Trucks and nonlocal traffic will be directed to use Fabyan Parkway, Route 25 and State Street (Route 38) instead.

The construction work will take place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. each day.

The daily fee commuter parking lot just south of the overpass will remain open.
