Leckinger homers in Metea Valley win
Kara Leckinger hit a home run and drove in 4 runs and pitcher Megan Arcivar earned her first win of the season in Metea Valley's 5-0 softball victory over South Elgin. Batting third for the Mustangs, Leckinger went 2-for-3 and also scored a run to lift Metea Valley to 8-10 and 6-5 in the Upstate Eight Conference. Arcivar (1-0) threw 60 of 100 pitches for strikes and scattered 4 hits in the junior's complete-game win.

In a pitchers' duel with ACC's Paige Miller, Jessica Conenna (9-2) struck out a personal-high 17 batters and threw a 3-hit shutout in the Metro Suburban Conference West Division. IC (17-3, 4-3) scored the game's sole run on Josie Lytton's RBI double in the top of the fifth inning, scoring Gabriella Curran. Kaitlyn Falduto went 2 for 3 for IC.
Lake Park 9, Antioch 3:
Dina Falk smacked 5 hits of Lake Park's 16 hits and pitcher Elizabeth Brown had 2 hits and threw a complete game in the nonconference win. Monica Williams drove in 3 runs for the Lancers.
St. Francis 14, Aurora Christian 0:
St. Francis improved to 15-1 on the season as pitcher Bailey Zydek hurled a shutout in Suburban Christian Conference play.
Walther Christian 8, Timothy Christian 3:
Timothy pitcher Emily Gifford allowed only 3 earned runs in the Metro Suburban Conference game. Trojans leadoff hitter Caitlyn Gehrke went 2 for 4 with a run-scoring double.

In West Suburban Silver play the Dukes (14-4, 3-1) were led by Johnny Kopach with 19 assists, Kevin Peronto with 14 digs, Bobby Krissinger with 8 kills and Jake Wendell with 7 kills. York won 25-20, 25-21.
Glenbard West d. Proviso West:
Paulie Bischoff dished off 20 assists as five Hilltoppers nailed at least 2 kills in the West Suburban Silver match, winning 25-12, 25-10.

Neuqua Valley 6, Bartlett 1:
Haley Singer scored 2 of Neuqua's 3 first-half goals, Sydney Rushing scoring the third. The Wildcats (9-3-2, 5-0-1) went up 6-0 in the Upstate Eight Conference game on goals by Alyssa Bombacino, Jamie Goralski and Madison Zaleski. Hannah Parrish made 2 saves for Neuqua.
Wheaton Academy 4, IC Catholic 0:
Erin Teevans scored 2 goals and assisted on the final score for Wheaton Academy, by Holland Kosiek. Rebecca Smith also scored to help Wheaton Academy improve to 11-3 overall, 5-0 in the Metro Suburban Conference.
