Chicago police pay tribute to 2 slain NYC officers

The Chicago Police Department has paid tribute to the two New York City police officers who were shot to death last month.

The Chicago department's chaplain began a prayer service Thursday at 2:47 p.m., the exact moment in New York when the two officers were gunned down on Dec. 20.

The ceremony was held at the Gold Star Families Memorial and Park near Soldier Field. The park was built to honor Chicago police officers who have died in the line of duty since the 1830s.

Officers Wenjian Lieu and Rafael Ramos were shot to death inside their patrol car by a gunman who had posted online about plans to attack police.
