Lake Zurich Rotary Club to meet Friday

Retired Army Col. Jill Morgenthaler will speak to the Lake Zurich Rotary Club on Friday, Sept. 18, about her new book, "The Courage to Take Command: Leadership Lessons from a Military Trailblazer." The meeting is at 12:15 p.m. in the patio area at DiPiero's restaurant, 17 E. Main St., Lake Zurich. It is free for non-members; RSVP to lzrotary@gmail.com. Morgenthaler will pass along leadership lessons drawn from her three decades of military service -- from her first days in ROTC to combat in some of the world's most dangerous war zones. "The Courage to Take Command" provides the strategies and tactics to to follow through with leadership vision, inspire a team, and execute a mission even when the odds may seem overwhelming.
