Buffalo Grove welcomes new community development director

Buffalo Grove will host a welcome reception at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15 for Christopher G. Stilling, the village's first community development director.

Stilling, who will lead the village's economic development, building, zoning, planning, permitting and inspection services, comes to Buffalo Grove from Cary, where he had served as that village's director of community development since January 2013.

"I am very excited to be joining the Village of Buffalo Grove, Stilling said in a statement released by the village. "The village offers many great opportunities, along with providing a high quality of service to its residents and businesses."

The reception take place at village hall, 50 Raupp Blvd., Buffalo Grove.
