K of C Holy Ghost Council 4977 Looks to the Future.

At the end of each school year Holy Ghost Council honors the graduating classes of St. Theresa and St Thomas of Villanova of Palatine, Il.

Starting with the students spiritual works, a total of 20 Alter Server Award Certificates were presented to the involved students. Covering the educational field, three students of each school were winners of the K of C Essay Contest and were awarded a $150.00 gift card. Three students were each awarded a $500.00 Scholarship toward their continued education in a Catholic High School.

We thank our Brother Knights who presented the awards at the respective graduation ceremonies or award nights. Brother Andy Ruff handled the honors at St. Theresa while Brother Tom Nicholas did so at St. Thomas of Villanova.

We also help those young men and women currently pursuing their religious goal of becoming a priest or sister. Five recipients were awarded a $500.00 scholarship: One went to a postulate at Little Sisters of the Poor, two young men at the University of the Lake St. Mary and two young men at St. Joseph's seminary (Loyola, Chicago).

We look forward to having the privilege to continue this program for many years to come
