Plane from Philadelphia makes emergency landing in Raleigh
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A flight from Philadelphia to Jacksonville, Florida, made an emergency landing in Raleigh because of a report of smoke in the cockpit.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the plane landed safely at Raleigh-Durham International Airport around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
No injuries were reported. There were 65 passengers on board.
The Embraer E-170 aircraft was operating as Republican Airlines flight 4488. The flight had left Philadelphia around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The FAA is investigating what happened.
