Letter: Selective outrage

The massacre in Highland Park was horrific, and everyone should be outraged. I just learned that over this past weekend in Chicago, there were 70 people shot and eight killed. Shouldn't we be just as outraged over this? And yet, this is a common occurrence in the city, where there are rather strict gun laws in place.

Yes, something must be done.
