Dining events: TL's Four Seasons honors National Wine Day

TL's wine pairings

TL's Four Seasons Chinese and Japanese Restaurant honors National Wine Day by pairing up some restaurant favorites with a glass of vino. Enjoy a three-course lunch or dinner beginning on National Wine Day, Friday, May 25, through Friday, June 1. The seafood menu includes crab rangoon paired with Hirshbach & Sohne riesling; Chongqing noodle soup with Cousino-Macul merlot; and Sichuan shrimp with Nieto Malbec Reserve or Dom Brunet Pinot Noir. Or try the meat menu: beef pot stickers with Bogle chardonnay; won ton soup with Indaba merlot; and black pepper garlic beef with Rock & Vine Cabernet. $25 per person.

David's Bistro's surprise

Celebrate the third anniversary of David's Bistro - a traditional bistro with a range of food and a full bar - with $3 surprise specials through Thursday, May 31. Ask your server about the $3 surprise special, which could be wine, an appetizer, dinner or a drink.

David's Bistro is at 883 Main St., Antioch. (847) 603-1196 or davidsbistro.com.

Grillable pizza

Hamburgers and hot dogs are so last year. Fire up the grill and throw on one of Home Run Inn's frozen "classic," "signature" and "ultra thin" pizza varieties. Give a plain pizza your own flavor by adding small bits of bacon, lettuce and tomatoes for a BLT pizza or a gourmet pizza with stir-fry caramelized onions, pear and Gorgonzola.

Home Run Inn has locations throughout the suburbs. Call (630) 783-9696 or visit homeruninnpizza.com.
