David Adler Music and Arts Center Announces Second Annual Adler Artist Exhibition and New Art Classes
The David Adler Music and Arts Center announces the second annual Adler Member Artist Exhibition, as well as a creative array of art and music classes and new early childhood classes that begin in January.
The Adler Member Artists are a collective of visual artists dedicated to enriching the artistic community at the David Adler Music and Arts Center. The premier members will showcase their latest work in a special January exhibition, from Jan. 8-28.
"I'm excited to see diverse pieces of art from local Illinois artists. It will be a sampling of artwork from 22 artists," Arts Program Coordinator Tanya Facchini said. "What makes this show extra exciting is that it is just not one medium. It will display anything from photography, to painting, to printmaking, to mixed media."
Adler Artist membership is open to artists who have exhibited at the David Adler Music and Arts Center during the past five years and who express a strong commitment to enriching the Adler Center's artistic community.
A free, public opening reception celebrating the Adler Member Artists will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, at the David Adler Center.
In addition, a wide variety of art classes for children and adults are taught in picturesque studios surrounding the David Adler historic home. Classes begin Monday, Jan. 4, and beginners are always welcome.
