Victory beat Sydney FC in A-League grand final replay

SYDNEY (AP) - Albanian forward Besert Berisha scored two goals to lead the Melbourne Victory to a 4-2 win over first-place Sydney FC in a 2014 A-League grand final replay Saturday.

The Victory, who beat Sydney 3-0 in the championship match last year, moved into third place, a point behind Sydney. It was Sydney's first loss of the year.

Newcastle and the Central Coast Mariners waited until late in the match to draw 1-1 earlier Saturday. An injury-time equalizer from Central Coast's Matt Sim in the 91st minute followed a goal in the 83rd minute by Newcastle's Serbian striker Milos Trifunovic.

Second-place Brisbane is home against Perth on Sunday to conclude the sixth round.

The results left five teams a point behind Sydney - Brisbane, the Victory, Western Sydney, Newcastle and Wellington.
