Gasol not playing in Game 4 after hamstring strain
Pau Gasol will not play for the Bulls in Sunday's Game 4 against Cleveland because of a left hamstring strain.
Gasol said he suffered the injury at some point in Game 2 at Cleveland. He tried to play through it on Friday, but left that game for good after playing five minutes in the third quarter. Gasol finished with 6 points and 4 rebounds in Game 3.
Gasol's status remains day-to-day. Game 5 in the series is Tuesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Bulls finished Game 3 with Taj Gibson playing the entire fourth quarter and rookie Nikola Mirotic getting extended minutes until picking up his fifth foul.
The Bulls took a 2-1 series lead Friday when Derrick Rose's game-winning 3-point basket at the buzzer gave them a 99-96 win at the United Center.
