Stop by 'Trunk or Treat' Oct. 25 at South Elgin church

Pull that costume out a week early for the annual "Trunk-or-Treat" event at South Elgin Community United Methodist Church, 400 W. Spring St.

From 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, Halloween-decorated cars will be lined up in the church parking lot, with their trunks open and filled with candy to hand out.

In addition to the free sweet treats, there also will be complimentary hot dogs, beverages and other refreshments.

When finished gathering goodies, spend time playing games such as Bozo buckets, pumpkin holey board toss, pumpkin walk, and fishing and bowling games.

This free fun event is designed for all ages, so come on over and have some fun, rain or shine.
