Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.Too high......especially those living in the 55 and older community of "The Regency of the Woods of South Barrington". Most of those residents are retired and on fixed incomes.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Our police force is top notch. With the section of Chief Roman as our new head, is an indication of the Department's quest for continued improvement. Our fire protection is handled by various departments. Each one serves with distinction.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?For many years, we have looked twice at where and when our money is spent. The number one issue that the Mayor and Board has to deal with is our financial responsibility to the community. And, I believe the current administration has handled it in the highest level of competence, as evident by our current financial status. Sure someone could always find some items in the budget to trim and some items to expand.
