Clear Lake project mystery may be solved in about a month
CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) - A development official says the name of the company behind the mystery project in Clear Lake is expected to be disclosed in about a month.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (http://bit.ly1C1Wg4D ) that North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corp. Executive Director Chad Schreck told the Clear Lake City Council on Monday night that the company, his development organization and public relations personnel are working on how to release the name to the public.
The company has been described only as a Fortune 100 company. Officials have said the warehouse will employ 164 full-time workers with an average annual wage of $39,000.
The 340,000-square-foot distribution center is being built in the Larry Luker Memorial Industrial Park on the southeast side of Clear Lake.
