On Wednesday, April 22 nd, St. Peter Lutheran School held a McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on 15 E. Dundee Rd. in Arlington Heights. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for St. Peter. Many teachers worked very hard including McAssistant Principal Klopke. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, front counter teachers, and teachers selling Pies. Teachers working included: Wickboldt, Sustr, Koclanis, Staehlin, Burrow, Ryg, Hiller, Hermann, Grissom, Engelhardt, Bates, Raupp, Livesay, Keller and McAssistant Principal Klopke. There were even teachers singing for tips. St. Peter McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. The School plans to use a portion of the proceeds to go to the St. Peter Playground fund for helmets and trikes. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the Arlington Heights McDonald's. A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to St. Peter Assistant Principal, Julie Klopke, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of the Arlington Heights McDonald's owner/operator, Sue Conley.
