Snowmobiler crashes into bridge pier on frozen Fox River

FOX RIVER GROVE, Ill. (AP) - A man riding a snowmobile on the frozen Fox River has crashed into a highway bridge pier and been hospitalized.

Fox River Grove fire Capt. Eldee Jackson says the man was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd hospital with injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening.

The (Crystal Lake) Northwest Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1xfu9JG ) that the accident happened Friday at the Northwest Highway bridge.

Authorities did not release the man's name.
