Letter: Work opportunities for the needy

Traveling east on Butterfield Road from 355 I noticed the medians were overgrown with weeds and debris strewn about. I also noticed individuals on almost every corner with a sign asking motorists for money.

Perhaps the villages of Lombard and Oak Brook should consider hiring these individuals to maintain these current eyesores.

This will not only satisfy the individual's need for money but also beautify a nice stretch of roadway.
