Aurora's Downtown Alive! showcases regional bands

One of These Nights, an Eagles tribute band, and Cowboy Jukebox, a Windy City five-piece country rock group, will take the stage this weekend as Aurora's Friday night Downtown Alive! concert series resumes.

The groups will perform Friday, July 17, at RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway St. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Cowboy Jukebox opens at 7:30 p.m. and One of These Nights plays at 9 p.m.

The Downtown Alive! summer concerts continue Friday, Aug. 7, in a show that features Chicago bands Maggie Speaks and Catfight. Opening the night are the ladies of Catfight, who have a reputation of turning every venue they play into a party. Then, Chicago-area favorite Maggie Speaks rocks the park by bringing your music library to the stage. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with Catfight performing at 7:30 p.m. and Maggie Speaks at 9 p.m.

Tickets for all Downtown Alive! concerts are $3, and children 12 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult 18 or older.

For tickets, visit riveredgeaurora.com, call the RiverEdge box office at (630) 896-6666, or stop by RiverEdge's satellite box office at the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
