Learn about snakes in forest preserve program

Learn about the fascinating lives of scaled and legless creatures during this naturalist guided program by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County. The group will search different habitats while learning about the ecology of native snakes. This program will cover snakes' lifestyles, or niches, including what they eat, how they eat and where they hang out. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes since we may travel off trail.

The "In Search of Snakes" nature program will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the Dick Young Forest Preserve, 2S326 Nelson Lake Road, Batavia.

Advance registration is required. Call (630) 444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register. Registration is $2 per person.
