Plainfield Central locked down Wednesday night

Plainfield Central High School was locked down for a short time on Wednesday night.

Police officials could not confirm activity around the school near Fort Beggs Drive and Route 59, and school officials could not be reached for comment.

Around 6:10 p.m., a Plainfield Fire Lieutenant said "There was a small incident and it was resolved so the school should be coming off lockdown soon," but could not elaborate on the situation.
