Heroin victims should be liable for medication
There is no question that the availability of naloxone for victims who choose to overdose on heroin is a wonderful life saver. It is also my belief that the victim should be financially liable for the expense of the medication and the additional cost of any hospital and medical costs.
I have complete sympathy for those afflicted with the use of illegal drugs, but it was their choice to do so and it should not be a free ride for the medication or the treatment afterward.
