7-year-old Iowa boy died after 2-dog attack, sheriff says

COLLEGE SPRINGS, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a young boy has died after being attacked by two family dogs in southwest Iowa.

Page County Sheriff Lyle Palmer says deputies were sent to 7-year-old Malaki Mildward's home in College Springs a little before 5 p.m. Thursday. They found medics were already on the scene administering CPR to Mildward. Palmer says the boy was taken to Clarinda Regional Health Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:50 p.m.

A release from the Page County Sheriff's Office says the family's two 6-month-old dogs are responsible for the attack.
