Iowa business reports theft of expensive hot tubs
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A Des Moines pool and spa business has reported the theft of at least $47,000 in hot tubs.
Water World owner Gena Johnson tells Des Moines television station KCCI (http://bit.ly/1A2Ztwb ) that a flatbed trailer loaded with six expensive hot tubs was taken from the back parking lot of her business Tuesday night.
Johnson says the hot tubs were top-of-the line and range in price from $7,000 to $12,000. Johnson says each spa weighs about 800 pounds.
Police are looking for the trailer, with Iowa license plate number 322 5EO.
Johnson says it is the third time thieves have stolen hot tubs from her business in the past two years.
