No one injured in Hoffman Estates house fire

No one was injured in a house fire in east-central Hoffman Estates around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Pat Fortunato, Hoffman Estates fire chief, said the home on the 1400 block of Gentry Road was on fire when the first firefighters arrived.

"First arriving companies on scene found heavy fire and smoke conditions on the rear of the home," Fortunato said.

The fire was extinguished in about 15 minutes, Fortunato said.

He said there were no reported injuries and all the occupants of the house have been accounted for.

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department was aided by firefighters from Schaumburg and Palatine.
