Shred your documents at realty group's Libertyville office

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group's Libertyville office will hold a document shredding and recycle event at 100 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

At the same time, the office will hold a flower sale to benefit the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports local initiatives.

To reduce the risk of identity theft and fraud, the community is welcome to bring their junk mail, canceled checks, utility bills, credit cards, credit card statements and other materials to destroy on-site for recycling. The event is a free service to the community.

"This is a great opportunity to really dig into your spring cleaning projects and gather all of those old documents that you can safely dispose of through shredding and recycling," said Michael Dean, vice president and managing broker of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group's Libertyville office.

"We will also have some beautiful flowers available for purchase for Mother's Day. Proceeds from the flower sale will benefit the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation."
