Judson University Choir to begin four-state winter tour Saturday
Judson University Choir members will take their talents on the road as they embark on a four-state, five-city performance tour beginning Saturday, Jan. 28. The tour will run through Tuesday, Jan. 31.
As many as 50 singers and musicians will travel, along with Judson Choir Director Dr. Warren J. Anderson, to a school and churches in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois over a four-day period.
"I am excited to take 50 or so of Judson's best and brightest students out East and back again this winter. This is our largest touring group in a couple of years, and I know they will be a blessing to the churches and the school where we will be ministering, especially since we have such strong connections at each location," said Dr. Anderson.
The itinerary includes tour stops that have personal connections to Judson students, past and present.
On Sunday, Jan. 29, the choir will perform at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 303 W. High St., in Waynesburg, Penn. The church's youth minister, Jason Pagel, is a cousin of current Judson students Sari and Daniel Flage. Visit www.fbcwaynesburg.org.
On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., choir members will sing at Vineyard Columbus, 6000 Cooper Road, Westerville, Ohio. Alumna Lilia (Griffin) Morales, Class of 2000, is director of the children's choir, which will open for and sing with the Judson University Choir. Visit vineyardcolumbus.org.
On Monday night, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m., choir members will be the guests of Meadows Christian Fellowship, 2401 Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows. Alumni Greg, Class of 1986, and Cyndi (Davis) Dulski, Class of 1986, attend this church, as does their son, current Judson student Nathaniel Dulski. Anderson served as this church's worship leader and director of Choral Ministries from 1992-2006. Visit www.meadowsfamily.org.
