Elgin's Harvest Market seeks vendors and more for new season

The Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin has opened up the opportunity for vendors, not-for-profits, and entertainment to apply online to the Downtown Elgin Harvest Market's 15th season at www.ElginHarvestMarket.com. This event, presented by Alexian Brothers Health System, will begin its eighteen week season from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 5, and end Thursday, Oct. 2. The Harvest Market in downtown Elgin is at 200 N. Grove Ave.

The vendor application is due April 1 enable to receive the reduced vendor fee. After April 1, the regular rate will apply. The vendor application relates to all farmers, veggie, fruit, or animal; bakers; food artisans; artists; etc. The basic motto is if one grows it, makes it, or mixes and bakes a product - the market is a good place for you!

The community partner application, which is also due April 1, applies generally to Elgin/Kane County area not- for-profits that are all about any local business, community, food, health and wellness, environment and sustainability. The market offers these organizations free booth space and set up to promote their services and information.

The entertainment/music application, due on April 1, is for all local entertainers and musicians who are interested in getting their name out there in the Elgin area, snagging some new leads and gigs, the benefit of getting paid, and who would fit the daytime farmers market feel.
