Tuesday Morning Quarterback
Name: Dylan Packer
School: IC Catholic Prep
Year: Senior
Best thing about being an offensive lineman: The best thing about being an offensive lineman is working together with all of your other linemen and determining the tempo of the game.
Worst thing about being an offensive lineman: There's not really a worst thing about being an offensive lineman because your teammates are always appreciative of you and you're pretty much the foundation of the offense.
Don't tell my coach that: My shoulder hurts.
If I could change one thing about football: I would change it back to the old football in a sense, make it a more physical game in nature and stop the penalties for hard hits.
Team not on our schedule I wish we could play: (Nazareth) or York. We've seen Naz in overnight camps in the summer and there's always been a little bit of tension there. And for York, just because it would be a great cross-town game.
How I'll celebrate if I score a TD: I would give the ball to the ref. Coach would run us, too (if he celebrated).
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat: Snapchat.
What I like best about my school: My favorite part about IC is, it's family. Everyone cares about each other, everyone knows each other.
Something about me that would surprise you: When I was 9 years old I was seventh in the world in Irish dancing.
Other sports I play: Basketball and baseball.
Favorite actor: Tom Hardy. In the movie, "Legend," he plays two brothers. He's always an intense, action-packed guy.
Favorite actress: Jennifer Lawrence, because of "The Hunger Games."
Favorite athlete: J.J. Watt. He's got an insane work ethic and he never puts himself over his players or his community.
Favorite musician: Bruno Mars. He always has upbeat songs and me and my friend (Jimmy Kenneally), who graduated last year, would always get hyped to him before games.
The stat
Six DuPage County teams with 3-4 records - Downers Grove North, Glenbard North, Lisle, Waubonsie Valley, Westmont and Wheaton Academy - need to win their last two games to become eligible for the playoffs.
The quote
"Playoffs = clinched √"
- Wheaton North senior defensive back Jackson Gray (@jacksongray23) after his team's 23-0 victory over Neuqua Valley sealed the program's first playoff berth since 2013.
