Arlington Heights Resident Earns CIAO Designation

Committed to professionalizing the Board of Review, Commissioner Patlak has put forth an aggressive effort to host advanced assessment classes at the Board conducted by expert instructors from the Illinois Department of Revenue and the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Certified Illinois Assessment Officer's must complete a minimum of seventy-five hours of advanced course work to receive the designation and are required to take additional courses to renew the designation every four years. The CIAO designation is held by every township assessor in Illinois.
