Don’t blow Walmart deal, aldermen

What sense of self-importance led the aldermen and mayor of Rolling Meadows to harpoon the Walmart plan?  Any traffic issues real or imagined can be ironed out after the grand opening using the millions in revenue for years to come.

Considering the alternative is doing nothing and not getting re-elected, I hope they wake up soon.  Walmart is not likely to wait and from Mr. Bisio’s comments it appears they may already be gone. Boo for you if it’s true, Mayor Rooney.
