Beyond the call of duty

A big shout-out to the crew on Engine 16 of the Rolling Meadows Fire Department.

On Thursday, Sept. 30, I was trying to change a flat tire on my friend's vehicle in a grocery store parking lot. The crew assisted two old men in changing the flat and getting us safely on the road.

I guess it's not always CPR and house fires.
