Candidate has right ideas on issues

There are many issues facing the Arlington Heights village board in the near future, and the election for village trustee on April 7 will help determine the direction the village takes on those issues.

Issues like the funding for Metropolis, monies for a new police station and infrastructure repair are just some of the issues that require a fresh approach.

If all of the incumbents are re-elected, then there would be nothing fresh in the approach to these issues.

That is why I am supporting Court Harris for village trustee. He understands the issues, and he has been straightforward in his approach to them.

Funding for Metropolis has to be set according to strict standards and if those standards are not met, then funding has got to stop. He supports a new police station, but he recognizes that it does not have to be "Taj Mahal" type that other municipalities have built. It should be functional for the needs of the police and built with the protection of taxpayers' dollars in mind.

Court Harris represents a new generation of Arlington Heights leadership, and he has my vote for village trustee.
