CHICAGO (AP) - An autopsy has determined that a newborn girl found outside a high-rise building in Chicago was beaten to death.
The Cook County medical examiner's office says Thursday's autopsy determined the girl died of blunt force injuries. The death was ruled a homicide.
The infant was found in a patch of grass around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Uptown neighborhood on city's North Side. She was taken a block away to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
