Treasured memories were part of theft

I am writing this to all burglars:

One of you broke my heart on Nov. 15. I understand that you may be desperate for money - but not necessarily for drugs. I have said prayers for you to lessen your need to traumatize other people to satisfy your own needs. You affected many of my treasured memories: my mother's engagement ring - she died at age 61, pearls that I received when our son was born from a happy husband, my high school class ring that I treasured for memories, and many other items. I bought some of the things with money my mother worked hard for.

You know and I know that the important things in life are not things but the treasured virtues of honesty, peace, truth and love of neighbor. I do hope these things for you. I just want you to know the hurt you have caused.
