Chicago fire festival oozes insensitivity

Regarding the "Great Chicago Fire Festival," how can insensitive people plan and revel in a celebration of misfortune that brought a great city to its knees? This tragedy killed its residents and ruined commerce for years to come. It's sad to realize how low the inhuman attitude has declined.

What next? How about a celebration in Berlin replicating the infamous death camps? Maybe a recreation of Hiroshima? Possibly the San Francisco earthquake? Katrina? The Dust Bowl?

There seems to be no limits to which we will pursue in the interest of attention.

It would be more beneficial to glorify the positive aspects of Chicago by reducing our crime rate.
