Dump truck rolls over, snarls traffic in Hanover Park

A dump truck rolled over Monday afternoon in Hanover Park, tying up traffic for hours along a busy stretch of Lake Street.

The crash occurred shortly after noon between Walnut Avenue and Mark Thomas Lane, according to Hanover Park police. Reports indicate the truck was making a left turn heading west onto Lake Street when its dirt load shifted, cause the truck to tip over.

There was no immediate indication of whether there were injuries.

The road reopened just before 3 p.m.
